From here flat trail to the old Church (Ñaupa Iglesia) where our guide and shaman will perform a Ceremony to ask the spirits of this sacred mountains and the Universe to allowed us to hike the next part of the trail safe and happy. Lunch prepared by our professional cook, from here walk to the camo site enjoying the Pachar Canyon and the Petroglyphs along the path and some other smaller ancient site. After a great breakfast meet the team cook and Wranglers and then 30 minutes hike to the village of Socma. Here we will have a great service for the children and families of this community (where gifts for the children are appreciated), from here the trek begins with a gradual climb offering fantastic views of the valley below, colorful bushes and trees at this ecosystem like the Sauco plant fruit in the little valley and After two hours of hiking, you arrive at the spectacular Perolniyoc waterfalls (10,745 feet) where you stop to gaze at the view, many plants are grown here wild as well you can see the hummingbirds along the way. Thirty minutes further along the trail are the Raccaypata ruins. Here you have a snack with the scenic splendor and explore the ruins before hiking 1 more hour to the small community Rayan for an incredible gourmet lunch Afternoon final 3 hour hike to today’s lodge observing the Kantu bush, which is consider our national flower at Rayan (11,795 feet). Also the pass that will surprise you with sacred tears mountains and the Andes all along the other side of the valley You’ll arrive For an incredible later tea time afternoon good time to relax and enjoy the sun setting behind the Andes as well the ruins from above a traditional Peruvian lamb barbecue prepared especially for you in the ancient method called Pachamanca. After a hearty breakfast and hot chocolate provided because of the cold and altitude, after you hike a winding ascending trail to reach 14,910 feet. Guitarrachayoc pass, surrounded by the Arequipayoc mountain range with Mt. Veronica rising above the peaks. 17,000 feet, locals still planting at Inca terraces seen on the other site of the little valleys The hike to the pass is a step back in time where you can see Peruvians working in fields of potatoes and other local crops. After about an hour, you come to a small straw house where you stop for snacks. Surrounded by cattle, llamas, Horses, sheep and the most spectacular bird named Wallata by the locals who they have created dances and more that shows their Connexxion with the wild life. Continuing the descent to small river name Ancascocha, you will pass through a tiny village before dropping into a beautiful valley to reach the mountain town of Ancascocha and lunch looking the blue lake of Suyru cocha, small place to relaxs and the last accend to the Pass of Wayanay which sits at 15,300 feet from here you hike into a valley with views of the famous Mt. Salkantay, stopping to take great pictures with the incredible Inca Trail along the Valley. Desent and find the small inca Ruins of Inca Racay and finally the Waterfall Camp Site of Muyu Muyu looking the snowcapped mountains. And enjoy the Millky way the amazing constellation, explained by your professional guide (B, L, D) Hiking Details: 9 miles. Approx. 8 Hours; Camp elevation 13,000 feet
Today’s trek will start passing clear water river and the community name Qesqa and continue along the Old Inca Trail, stopping to visit with students of the small school of Qhesqa (where gifts for the children are appreciated) 1-hour latter the Inca ruins of Paucarcancha. Here lunch will be provided looking the ruins and its little community. The next stop is the town of Huayllabamba where you join the throngs of visitors on Peru’s most popular path, the classic Inca Trail. Hike alongside the beautiful river and ancient sites, stopping at the Inca ceremonial and work site, Llactapata, with great views of elaborate Incan aqueducts. From there you walk to the Km 82 where you will have the opportunity to visit the villagers and say good bay to the hiking and meet our private transportation and back to OLlantaytambo for amazing rest or continue your trip to Machu Picchu or what is your next destination according to your Itinerary. Spend the day exploring the quaint streets of Cusco. Spend the morning at one of several artesanal markets – conveniently located on the main avenue – Avenida Del Sol. You may also enjoy one of the following museums: the Chocolate Museum (where you can make your own chocolates to take home!), Laura Museum of Tapestry Art, the Cusco Center of Native Arts, or the famous Museum of Pre-Colombian Art, to name a few. Explore the cobblestone streets and poke your head into ancient courtyards – you never know what you may find! Explore the bohemian neighborhood of San Blas with its little shops and cafes. Meet artists and artisans before you stop for a café on the Plaza de Armas, and if you are up to it, hike up to the huge statue Cristo Blanco (White Christ) that watches over the city – about 2 hours roundtrip. Cusco is a great place to do last minute shopping. (B)
