LIMA – CUSCO
In the morning, an MTP representative transfers you to the airport for your flight to Cusco, the center of the Inca Empire. Magical Tours Peru guides pick you up at the airport, stopping for a quick tour of the colonial Plaza de Armas before taking you to the Hotel to check in. After lunch on your own, spend the afternoon touring prominent Inca sights in and around Cusco. You’ll see Sacsayhuamán, a fortress with megalithic stone terraces; the carved stone surfaces and subterranean altars of Kenko; the small Puka Pukara fortress that protected the royal capital; and the water temple, Tambo Machay. Also you will visit the Templo of the Sun. In the evening, you are returned to your hotel to spend the rest of the day relaxing or exploring Cusco’s fascinating mix of cultures on your own. CUSCO TO SACRED VALLEY
Our Sacred Valley tour begins when you are met by our representative in Cusco hotel after your breakfast Included to colonial Cusco hotel, in the heart of the Inca Empire. On the way to the Sacred Valley to visit the circular terraces of Moray – the Navel of the Earth. At this sacred site we will feel the connection with the three worlds represented by the Condor, Puma and Snake sacred animals. See how our ancestors built an amphitheater-like structure to study different microclimates. We will also visit an amazing salt flats operation en route to Ollantaytambo, and for those who want to stretch their legs and get a little exercise, there is an opportunity to hike. Lunch in an old Spanish Hacienda TUNUPA, incredible buffet, the next stop is Ollantaytambo site (9,185 ft.), a small town with an impressive Inca fortress, the princess baths and pink granite temples which we will explore. The Expedition train travels along the scenic the Urubamba River before gaining elevation and mountain views and passing through a magnificent cloud forest before reaching the town of Aguas Calientes.
MACHU PICCHU – OLLANTAYTAMBO
Begin today taking the bus to Machu Picchu the ruins to avoid the crowds and see the sun illuminating the walls of this sacred and magical place. Exploring the mountain citadel of Machu Picchu (7,875 ft.) for about 3 hours. Spend the remain of the day climbing to the gate of the SUN or to the Inca Gate, Late Lunch Included near the Ruins. We will take the train back to Ollantaytambo to your beautiful hotel (B, L)
WATERFALL DAY HIKE and COMMUNITY SERVICE FLIGHT TO LIMA AND CONNECT HOME
Morning breakfast at the hotel, see the Inca bridge and Chokana site use by our ancestor to protect the town of Ollantaytambo from enemy Attacks. From here drive in the Canyon with (Ñaupa Iglesia) and Petroglyphs where our guide perform a Ceremony to have an idea of our cultural heritage. Visit Perolniyoc Water Falls and the incredible ruins above of Racay Pata. See our professional cook who will prepare a Pacha Manca with lots of varieties of meals that includes variety of meats, Fruits and vegetables, this is a cooking underground and have an experience like our ancestors did in the high mountains. Share with the Local the meal as gratitude to be in their sacred land. After This afternoon we will gather with the children and families to share with them a Hot Chocolate and bread with gifts that you bought. Private van to travel to CUSCO airport to catch your flight to Lima and then connect Home (B, L)
